Using this quarantine to research my field is a good excuse to endlessly binge watch all the content I can right? It’s been a pleasure taking in these incredible works of television, both dramatic and insane, and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Let me know what I should watch next!

In this time of quarantine and scrolling through my Netflix recommendations, I stumbled upon this gem of a mini-series. I grew up on soccer (football) and the game is one of the only sports to keep my interest. So this story of the game’s transition to a backyard past time to a professional league at the hands of good men fighting to keep the good game truly captured my heart. Also, as a filmmaker this production inspires me: a well put together story, cinematography, production design, and acting that comes together to create something I am proud to watch. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something to watch as we all bleed out streaming services dry being home. I hope to continue to spread my support of the film and tv I adore and this one was a great one to start off with. #theenglishgame #miniseries #drama #tv #rec
